Memory loss, schmemory loss - We didn’t forget the 15th anniversary of HALF BAKED

Hey comedy fans, want to feel old? It’s been over five years since Dave Chappelle walked away from his hugely popular TV show “Chappelle’s Show.” It’s been twelve years since “Killin’ Them Softly,” Chappelle’s first HBO special. And, of course, it’s been 15 years since Chappelle starred in HALF BAKED, a movie that forever changed the way audiences would look at Bob Saget.

It's only at the Alamo Drafthouse where you'll find a night paying tribute to the comedy of Dave Chappelle via a 35mm screening of HALF BAKED, an under-appreciated '90s comedy that dared to teach audiences some very important life lessons – don’t share a smoke with Snoop Dogg, don’t feed a diabetic horse junk food and don’t doubt the power of Jerry Garcia in a pouch.

Written by Chappelle and “Chappelle’s Show” co-creator Neal Brennan, HALF BAKED is a smoke-hazed comedy about a group of potheads who find themselves over their head when trying to break their friend out of prison. Guillermo Diaz (“Weeds”), Jim Breuer (“Saturday Night Live”) and Harland Williams (DUMB AND DUMBER) co-star. The film features a ton of cameos from the likes of Jon Stewart, Willie Nelson, Stephan Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Janeane Garofalo. Under the direction of Tamra Davis (CB4, BILLY MADISON), is a Saturday morning cartoon for stoners. Colorful sets, weird non sequitur jokes and - most importantly - Dave Chappelle's unique style of comedy.

Show up early because we'll kick the night off with a special Dave Chappelle-themed pre-show and a tasty surprise for all who attend.
