Opening a little over a year ago in July of 2012, FireWheel has become one of the many awesome reasons why Texas is ranked as one of the top 10 best craft brew states in the nation. So what perks do you as a resident of our great beer state get to enjoy? Well, Glass Half Full’s Meet the Brewers at Alamo Drafthouse Richardson is one of them!
If you haven’t guessed yet, this week’s Meet the Brewers features Rowlett’s own FireWheel Brewing Co., a totally local brewery started by financial analyst turned brew master Brad Perkinson. Living the life my roommate and I could only have dreamed of back in college, Brad now has his own brewery serving up some unique and delicious brews to residents across the Dallas area.
So what can you expect to sample for FREE this Thursday (9/26) from 6:00p to 9:00p? The seasonally appropriate Pumpkin Beer along with the locationally appropriate Texas Pale Ale. I would love to show you some stats on these, but alas, these brews are too new to have a review that pays them due process. So here’s a little info instead:
Style: Pumpkin Beer
Missed Meet the Brewers? You’ll need to head out to FireWheel Brewery in Rowlett if you find yourself wanting to try it!
Texas Pale Ale
Style: American Pale Ale
“This is a Texas-sized beer. It has a slightly elevated gravity and a clean, lively bitterness that some may associate with that of a mild IPA. Being unfiltered, it will pour slightly hazy, rich amber in color, and should be accompanied with a noticeable, well lacing head.” – FireWheel Brewing Co.
