ME AND ORSON WELLES with Richard Linklater in person: Coming Monday to South Lamar!
We're honored to welcome the man most responsible for putting Austin on the global film map, Richard Linklater, to present his latest movie ME AND ORSON WELLES on Monday night December 21 at the Alamo South Lamar. There are only a few more days left to see a movie that will certainly be discussed at awards time.
Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle said of Christian McKay's performance of Orson Welles, "He gives what I believe is the most exact and uncanny screen portrayal of an historical figure, ever."
Roger Ebert says. "The impersonation of Welles by Christian McKay in ME AND ORSON WELLES is the centerpiece of the film, and from it, all else flows. We can almost accept that this is the Great Man."
And the great director behind this portrayal of the great director will be with us to take us through the process of making the film and working with McKay, Zac Efron and Claire Danes. It's a rare insight into the creative process of a true film legend.
