Lubbock! We are looking for rock star Projectionists!

The Alamo Drafthuse Cinema - Lubbock is looking for a few exceptional projectionists to join our passionate team of movie and guest service enthusiasts. The ideal Alamo Drafthouse projectionist not only has a love for movies, but is obsessed with creating the perfect cinema environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the picture is perfect, the sound is perfect, the pre-show content is perfect and the guest's experience is perfect. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Anticipating the needs of future events and ensuring that all technical needs are covered.
• Strong computer background
• Ingesting DCP content to servers and projectors.
• Creating playlists for DCP content.
• Allocating or title mapping playlists according to the theater schedule.
• Working with management and event coordinators to assure successful events.
• Maintenance of projection and audio equipment (changing lamps, filters, etc.)
• Taking light meter readings, adjusting power settings, 3D lens convergences, masking adjustments.
• Set-up and operation of various audio/visual equipment, including sound mixers, microphones, stage lights, video projectors, etc.
• Keeping track of incoming and outgoing films and content.
• Storage, organization, and inventory of A/V equipment.
• Occasional transport of film prints, equipment, and show materials between theaters.
• General cleaning of the equipment and work area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working knowledge of digital projection systems
• Detail-oriented
• Organized
• Able to work efficiently without direct supervision
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Willingness to work unusual work hours (lots of evenings and weekends)

BONUS SKILLS:
• Knowledge 35mm projection systems
• Building, inspecting, and cueing 35mm prints for presentation.
• Inspecting and repairing 35mm archive prints.
• Threading and operating 35mm platter and changeover systems.
• Other A/V experience, such as that with sound mixers, P.A. systems, lighting, etc.
• Knowledge of other media formats, such as HDcam, Beta, 16mm, etc.
