If you love movies and enjoy the outdoors, we might have a job for you. The Rolling Roadshow is an extension of the Alamo Drafhouse Cinema experience.  Events are held throughout the Houston area promoting community activities, driving local business sales through brand awareness or as private events for individuals/corporations.  The Rolling Road Show Crew Member assists with all areas of physical production for outdoor cinema events.  Crew members will be trained in use of cinema audio/visual equipment and logistical planning for our events.


DUTIES:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains a positive and helpful attitude at all times
  • Equipment setup and breakdown

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge of AV equipment and comfortable with technical setup
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, non-verbal)
  • Effective problem solving and decision making
  • Proactive / Takes initiative
  • Is seen by all team members as approachable and positive
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends (all events are at night, many on the weekend)

EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and experience

WORKING CONDITIONS / HAZARDS:

  • Outside environment
  • Noise level as loud as a standard movie theater
  • Works with electrical equipment
  • Manual labor
  • Travel and heavy lifting is required
  • Possible inclement weather and electricity

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time doing manual labor
  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
