Life without chocolate is no life at all
A wise person once said, "There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles." If there's any truth to that statement, then we are on the right track to providing one of the most balanced meals ever for our CHOCOLAT Feast on Monday (Dec 6).
We've partnered with our friends at Edible Austin to present a special screening of Lasse Hallström's CHOCOLAT, complete with a multi-course gourmet chocolate feast! If you've got chocolate on the brain, get ready to wipe the drool off your monitor and check out the amazing menu below.
Three chocolate tastes: sweet, salty and savory all organic chocolate
Antonio Gelisi Sangue di Guida
Duck Confit with raspberry shallot jam on a chocolate baguette crisp topped with chocolate coated cracklins
Graham Beck Sparkling Rose
Provencal Tomato soup with cocoa shrimp with shaved dark chocolate
Terre di Goia Pinot Nero
Game Hen draped in chocolate with flageolets and baby carrots
Peirano six clones Merlot
Dessert Irish Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate with clover honey and Irish cream
J.K. Scrumpy Cider
Yeah, decadent doesn't even begin to describe the menu. If that wasn't enough to get you racing to grab a ticket, what if I told you that proceeds from this showing would benefit the youth development program, Urban Roots? Eating chocolate already makes you feel good, so eating chocolate for charity must be even better!
