Is there a movie fan alive that hasn’t seen the movie JAWS? Steven Spielberg’s classic ode to underwater horror has been terrifying audiences around the world since its 1975 debut. Whether you’ve seen it on the big screen, at home on basic cable or even at our Rolling Roadshow presentation at Market Square Park last month, there’s a good chance that if you have a pulse, you’ve been made afraid to go into the water at one point in your life. Regardless, you’ve neve seen JAWS like this before.
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s Rolling Roadshow and the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center are teaming up for a dive-in movie experience.
On August 18 at the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center, we will be screening Spielberg’s classic film. The event is recommended for those ages 10 and up and is presented by the Bellaire Buzz, Bellaire Parks and Recreation and the Alamo Drafthouse.
Watch JAWS on a big, inflatable screen while you wade around in the pool — just keep an eye out for fins in the water or a tickling on your toes. What better way to watch a movie guaranteed to make you afraid to go in the water than by watching it while you are swimming?
There will be giveaways, prizes, music, food and more fun than you can throw a bucket of chum at. Proceeds benefit the Patrons for Bellaire Parks. Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the Bellaire Recreation Center. Space is limited so buy your ticket today.
