IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE For the Alamo Drafthouse Littleton and the Denver Film Society!

We have been eagerly anticipating our first holiday season here at the Alamo Drafthouse Littleton.  Not only do we get to celebrate with a variety of festive and interactive programming, but we get to reach out into our Colorado community, and do something that will resonate for the entire year.   This year, we've chosen the Denver Film Society as the focus of a special screening of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00.

Everyone has a favorite Christmas film, but if there's one film universally agreed to be the ultimate holiday classic, it might just be Frank Capra's heartwarming and iconic film.   IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE runs the emotional gauntlet from despair to elation, and its message is one that not only defines the season, but is a lesson that really should be remembered all year.

This is a one time only screening, with all ticket proceeds being donated to the Denver Film Society. As a non-profit organization, the Denver Film Society relies on the support of the Colorado community, and the Drafthouse is proud to help them continue their wonderful programming, cinematic events, and educational initiatives such as The Young Filmmakers Workshop.

"The Denver Film Society is one of Colorado’s best non-profit organizations and help their message shine through this holiday season," says Keith Garcia, Creative Manager of the Alamo Drafthouse Littleton. "Frank Capra’s film encapsulates helping out your family and friends, and in our cinematic world there’s no better way to do that than with the shared community of watching a film together for the benefit of a good cause. IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE has been the one holiday film on our programming list this year that we haven’t revealed yet and we wanted to make sure it was extra special when we did."

“We want to thank the generosity of the Alamo Drafthouse and their partnership with the Denver Film Society,” said Tom Botelho, Executive Director of the Denver Film Society, “From the moment they came to Colorado – they have embraced our organization, advocated for our mission and continue to bring dynamic programming to our film community.”

Tickets are on sale now, and as we are only screening this beloved film once, tickets will fly, so be sure to grab yours.   Our full resturant and bar service will be available inside the theater, and given that it is a morning screening, guests will have our delicious brunch menu to choose from.   Is there any better way to spend a pre-Christmas weekend than watching a classic film, dining on some delicious Creme Brulee French toast, and helping out a wonderful organization? We don't think so, and we hope you'll join us on December 21 ... after all, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE!
