GREASE is the word this March when it comes to free outdoor screenings in Katy

We were born to hand jive baby and on Friday, March 2, we're going to show you what we've got with a free outdoor screening of GREASE at the Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center.

GREASE is the classic 1978 musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as a pair of star-crossed high school sweethearts who overcome social prejudices to find love and croon some of the best doo-wop rockabilly pop songs you've ever heard sung by 30-year-olds masquerading as high school students. There's a reason why GREASE has remained such an undeniable hit over the years and even if you just saw the movie this morning, it's been too long since you've seen the film.

The event kicks off at the Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center (2501 South Mason Road Suite 290, Katy, TX  77450) on Friday, March 2. The film starts at 7:30 PM but you're going to want to show up early because we'll have a costume contest, pre-screening games and much, much more. The event is BYOC (bring-your-own-chair) and remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Our mission for the night is for you to leave hopelessly devoted to the kind of fun we enjoy having at the Alamo Drafthouse.

Friday, March 2 @ 7:30 PM — Mason Park
