GOD BLESS AMERICA Opens This Weekend

Don't miss the new venom rocket from a man destined to become the most important filmmaker of the century, Bobcat Goldthwait. GOD BLESS AMERICA has been called a mix of TAXI DRIVER & HEATHERS and that's good enough for us! Check out showtimes and buy your tickets here.

Believe it or not, former avenging nerd Goldthwait has become one of the most interesting filmmakers working today, and he continues his streak with GOD BLESS AMERICA, a take-no-prisoners treatise against capitalism, commercialism and all around assholism in the present day United States.

Divorced, fired and terminally ill Frank (Joel Murray) has had his fill of life, and after the indignities mount, he takes up arms and begins shooting his way through the crowd of jerks surrounding him, supported only by his teenaged friend Roxy, who hates people almost as much as Frank does.

"Darkly comedic, subversive, rage-filled and infinitely charming. I haven't quite laughed this hard since Bobcat Goldthwait's last movie, World's Greatest Dad."--Neil Miller, FILM SCHOOL REJECTS

"A reassuring reminder that there are people who value basic human decency and consideration of others, albeit articulated through the angry voice of a person who would not accept the crude indifference of "f**k you" for an answer."--Todd Gilchrist, THE PLAYLIST

"Goldthwait's ranting dialogue is stingingly funny and Murray and Barr are so agreeable you may find yourself rooting for "the bad guys." -- Colin Covert, MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE
