GINGER is back and she’s mad!
For everyone whose ever been in love... for everyone who's ever abducted cheerleaders and beauty queens and put them through an intensive program of training to become robotic sex machines and sold them to wealthy degenerates at $100,000 apiece... for everone whose ever been handcuffed to a shower rod... for everyone whose ever danced wildly with maracas in an inappropriate locale... this is your movie. It's THE ABDUCTORS. It's Free. It's Tonight! And it's a Nad Stomping Good Time!
If you didn't get the memo, this whole "ice storm" was a shared delusion. Everyone else has snapped out of it. Won't you join us tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown located at 4th and Colorado?

Ginger, the female James Bond from New Jersey, is back! That's right, this is the follow-up to the grotesquely memorable GINGER. This time around, the film-makers had a little more cash to work with, and the pace is snappier but the fundamentals are all there: a chronically tan bleach blonde undercover agent named Ginger infiltrates a white slavery ring in central New Jersey. The distinctive odor of the Garden State is all over this one, from the mobbed-up accents to the amazingly loud and tacky visual aesthetic, personified by Ginger herself, Cheri Caffaro. She's like an Asbury Park bricklayer's wet dream. But whatever her appeal may have been in the 70's, it has long ago expired. At the GINGER screening there were moans of displeasure whenever she took her clothes off. It was like torture. But fascinating torture. Don't miss it. (Lars)
