Get ready to wiggle your big toe at the KILL BILL double feature this December

The whole world is currently waiting patiently for the release of Quentin Tarantino's long promised KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR, a combined, cohesive cut of both of Tarantino's KILL BILL volumes. While a version of the film (the four-hour Cannes cut featuring an extended anime sequence, gorier action scenes and French subtitles) played at the director's New Beverly Cinema, Tarantino is not ready to unleash the awesomeness of THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR upon the world at large.

To help prepare Houston audiences for the eventual mind explosion that will come with viewing KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR, the Alamo Drafthouse -West Oaks is screening the next best thing: a back-to-back double feature of KILL BILL - VOLUME 1 and KILL BILL - VOLUME 2 — both in 35mm! In as close to a seamless presentation as we can manage, we'll present both films in one sitting. As you enjoy tasty alcoholic drinks from our extenseve beer menu (perfect for enhancing the deranged Asian-influenced carnage Tarantino dreamt up for his four-hour epic), you can enjoy a pristine presentation of the films on the big screen.

Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, a former assassin left for dead after a wedding day massacre headed up by her former boss. Now, after awaking from a years-long coma, The Bride is on a warpath of bloody justice — cutting a swath through the former teammates who killed her husband and left her for dead. Along the way, Tarantino gives audiences a full tour of his cinematic influences as he pays tribute to all manners of action film goodness — from Hong Kong kung fu to Japanese samurai cinema to blaxploitation to spaghetti westerns.

Make plans to spend Sunday, December 4 at the Alamo Drafthouse as we present Tarantino's KILL BILL saga the way it was meant to be seen (for now) in the best possible presentation available. As an added bonus, we'll formally announce our new January-launching, Houston-specific signature series. Tickets are now available to purchase here
