FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE SACRED STAR OF MILOS comes to the Alamo this January

Continuing the adventures chronicled in the popular FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST anime series, THE SACRED STAR OF MILOS is a new film distributed by Funimation Entertainment. When the Elric brothers attempt to track down a prisoner who has escaped from the prison in Central City despite only a few weeks left in his sentence, they find themselves caught up in a grassroots rebellion in the slums of Milos Valley.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST is a longrunning multi-media series from Japan. Originally a manga written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, the world of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST is styled after the European Industrial Revolution and set in a world where alchemy is a highly advanced scientific technique. The series' stars are two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who attempt to restore their bodies after suffering a disfiguring accident while attempting to resurrect their mother via alchemy.

In 2003, the manga was adapted into a 51 episode series that would spawn a film sequel and a second series titled FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD. The series has also spawned novels, video games, music CDs and toys of all shapes and sizes.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST will screen for a week at the Alamo Drafthouse - West Oaks beginning Friday, January 20. For tickets, visit the film's event page here
