From Stan Bush to Kenny Loggins, all your 80s movie music needs are met at April’s sing-along event

Music is an important part of a movie – there’s no denying that fact. During the ‘80s, though, music was the movie. So many films from the ‘80s are known just as much for (if not more for) their soundtracks as they are for their cast or plot. Where would Dirty Dancing be without “She’s Like the Wind”? Or “Top Gun” be without “Danger Zone”?

Music is an important part of a movie – there’s no denying that fact. During the ‘80s, though, music was the movie. So many films from the ‘80s are known just as much for (if not more for) their soundtracks as they are for their cast or plot. Where would Dirty Dancing be without “She’s Like the Wind”? Or “Top Gun” be without “Danger Zone”?

‘80s movies are all about the music - from the power ballad to the montage musical number to the one hit wonders eternally linked to the theme song they did for a film – forever forced to perform the theme at county fairs and fifth-string rodeos for the remaining portion of their careers.

It is for all these reasons and more that we are screening The Action Pack’s ‘80s Movie Anthem Sing-Along. The event will feature two hours of the best movie-related music videos from the ‘80s. You’ll get Kenny Loggins, Ray Parker Jr., Huey Lewis and the News and so much more.

We’ll have props for you to interact with and we’ll even open up the aisles for you to stand up and cut footloose to your heart’s content. Don’t miss this night of ‘80s movie music wonderment because when all is said and done this evening is going to be a big chunk of your life’s montage scene.

Thursday, April 5 @ 7:30 PM - Mason Park

Wednesday, April 18 @ 7:30 PM - West Oaks
