In accordance with the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s long-standing relationship with the city of Houston’s Market Square Park, we are proud to announce the Rolling Roadshow’s April 25th free screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 epic cinematic masterpiece THE GODFATHER.
Join us as we screen the film that takes us into the underground mafia scene in late 1940s through early 1950s New York solidifying a young Al Pacino as one of the greatest actors of all-time. With an all-star cast featuring James Caan, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall, and the great Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone, enjoy Greek cuisine from Niko Niko’s and a wine-tasting of Coppola’s own wine as we watch the descent of the archetypal All-American, Michael Corleone, and the goings-on of the mid-20th century’s Italian mafia.
Market Square Park is located in downtown Houston at Congress St. and Travis St. and the film starts at 8pm. With great food, great wine, and a free screening of one of the greatest films ever made, joining us for The Godfather is certainly an offer you can’t refuse.
Note: The Godfather is rated R and contains situations and content coherent with this rating, and may not be a family-friendly film. (Brent Vickers)
