Disney's got a new film coming out, and it looks to have all the trimmings of the next must-see masterpiece from the Disney/Pixar Universe- BOLT! And we've got a chance for you to see it early, for free! Saturday, November 15 at 3pm, Alamo South Lamar.
Two-months ago at Fantastic Fest, the fine folks at Disney brought some never-before-seen clips from the film and screened 'em for us...a hard sell to a group of horror nuts and cine-freaks not yet debriefed after the onslaught from the best and brightest in the international genre and gore scene. But, at the end of the day, I'd be walking around and hear even the most hardcore critics not talking about the suspense and slasher films they had seen, but about how totally awesome BOLT looked. As superhero Dogs go, this one's reaching across the aisles. And he will live up to his celebrity.
How to get a seat:
There are two ways to get a seat to the show...
If you were a proud badge-holder from Fantastic Fest 2008, or a proud bade-holder for Fantastic Fest 2009, and would like to see the movie on Saturday, send an email to email@example.com with the words ROLL RHINO ROLL in the subject line, and please include your name and whether your guest would be a child between the ages of 6 and 12. All verified badge-holder emails sent in between now and Wednesday, 11/12, at noon will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to have reserved seats, and if they get selected, people with a child as a guest will receive a +1, but must attend with the child to claim it. We'll post the list of winners on Wednesday at 5p here on the Alamo Blog.
Also at 5p on Wednesday, we'll open up the second-chance at grabbing a seat on the Alamo Kids' Club facebook group! If you're not yet a member, check it out- it's a great way to up-to-date on all the free Alamo Drafthouse Kids' Club screenings we have year-round at South Lamar! Plus, it just might get you into BOLT for free, so become a member and check back Wednesday.
A huge thanks to Ain't It Cool News for making this screening happen!
BOLT opens for a full run at the Alamo South Lamar on November 21.
