Twinkies may be gone but they are not forgotten.
This February, we’re honoring the death of the Twinkie with a movie about one man’s undying love of the golden sponge cake with a creamy filling – even in the face of the undead. Join us on Saturday, February 9 for a screening of ZOMBIELAND complete with a side order of Twinkies.
That’s right – we’ve saved a few boxes of Twinkies for your consuming pleasure. As you sit back and watch Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) journey across America with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) in search of sanctuary from a zombie plague, you can chow down on a Twinkie or two. Note: Twinkies do have expiration dates (despite popular myth) so it’s up to you if you want to risk the snack’s expiration date or just save the Twinkie as a memento. We're not to blame if you decide to chow down on the Twinkie and become a cream-filled sponge cake-crazed zombie!
ZOMBIELAND is the 2009 horror comedy from director Ruben Fleischer that takes an irreverent look at life post-zombie outbreak. Eisenberg stars as a dweebish survivor who journeys from Austin, TX to California in search of a safe zone from the legion of the undead that patrol the landscape. Along the way he meets up with a group of fellow survivors including Tallahassee – a gruff cynic played by Woody Harrelson who just wants to eat one more Twinkie. We can relate.
Hostess may have closed their factories but we are offering you, our friends, one more chance to partake in a Twinkie. Don’t miss out on this screening because tickets (and Twinkies) are limited.
