He’s lost. He’s alone. And he’s three million light years away from home. But luckily, E.T. has landed at Aspen Grove, and we’re going to do everything we can to get him to his people.
We’re excited to announce that E.T. is the second film of our Aspen Grove Outdoor Free Family Film Series on Tuesday, June 18. This event will kick off a little earlier, as Plus Size BMX will be conducting a biking clinic beginning at 5:00pm. And if you and your family ride your own bike to the event, the lovely folks at Giant Cycling World will be happy to valet for you.
We’ll also have a photo booth, where fans can dress up alongside E.T., and a series of games inspired by the movie. For the kids, we’ll have an E.T. relay race and a Reese’s Pieces pick-up contest. For Mom and Dad, there’s a special game that pays homage to E.T.’s discovery of beer, so bring a big thirst. And for the four-legged friends, we have a "Dogs That Look Like E.T." contest.
Plus Size BMX (who may be even bigger fans of E.T. than we are!) will also perform a series of high-flying tricks to save E.T. from the government agents, and get him to his spaceship.
The Humane Society of South Platte Valley will be on hand to discuss the importance of adopting other lost creatures. For a $4.00 donation, they’ll give you a beer voucher. Our brewer for this event is Grimm Brothers Brewery, and they'll be on hand to discuss their terrific brew.
All of these activities are sure to give you an appetite, so we’ll have burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, candy (including Reese’s!), and beverages for sale.
Once the stars come out at 8:30, we’ll be screening the film. So don your red Elliott hoodie, bring a chair or blanket, and join us for a night that will really be out of this world!
