Don’t have a failure to communicate - attend our April screenings of COOL HAND LUKE

Join us for a 45th anniversary screening of COOL HAND LUKE, the classic Stuart Rosenberg film starring Paul Newman.

Newman stars as Luke, a prisoner in a Florida prison camp who remains defiant throughout his stay. The film was adapted from a 1965 Donn Pearce novel by Pearce and Frank Pierson. George Kennedy, Strother Martin, J.D. Cannon and Morgan Woodward co-star.

Upon its release, the film won George Kenney an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Dragline, a prisoner that Luke clashes with upon his initial arrival. Newman was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the film received additional nominations for its music and screenplay.

We’ll be screening the film from a stunning new 2K digital restoration as part of our Big Screen Classics series. In addition to the screening, we’ll also host a hard-boiled egg eating contest before the film – so come hungry.

Don’t miss our two April screenings of COOL HAND LUKE this month as we pay tribute to an American classic with a gorgeous new digital presentation. We’ll see you there!
