Mark your calendars, sync your countdown apps and begin preparing for our GRAND OPENING on Monday, March 25, 2013 and seven days of special programming designed to give patrons the full spectrum of signature Alamo experiences all in one week! While you are making calendar additions, be sure to also star, circle and highlight March 8 when tickets will go on sale for grand opening screenings and events here.
For those of you who haven't heard the spectacular news, the first Alamo Drafthouse in the Colorado market is located in the Aspen Grove Shopping Center in the beautiful city of Littleton. Our theater is a from-the-ground-up, seven-screen theater with combined seating for over 900 moviegoers. Each of the auditoriums is equipped with state-of-the-art digital projection and sound, as well as excellent screen-to-room size ratio. And in true Drafthouse style, each auditorium accommodates full bar and restaurant service with seats featuring attached tables and large aisles that allow for ninja-like service from our crew before and during the film without disturbing the movie viewing experience. We will show first-run and independent films, plus specialty repertory film programming and events like feasts, qute-alongs, sing-alongs and special guests to name a few. We will serve an extensive menu featuring many items made-from-scratch.
All seating is assigned and can be reserved at the time of ticket purchase online or in-person at the box office. We encourage you to arrive early to check out the full menu and enjoy Alamo’s pre-show entertainment of rare clips, videos, and shorts that are custom-curated to complement each feature film or event. If you haven't heard from Anderson Cooper, our mission is to protect the sanctity of the movie watching experience with a zero tolerance policy towards disruptive behavior such as talking or texting during the film... even if it may upset the text offender.
We will also be opening Glass Half Full, a full service bar focused on craft beer and quality original and classic cocktails. Draft offerings at the Littleton Glass Half Full will draw heavily from local and regional Colorado breweries, with an emphasis on the world-class beer produced in and around Denver and a wide ranging selection of bottled beer (to those of you who responded, thanks for your input on beer selection!). In addition to local beer, we will proudly pour locally distilled spirits from companies like Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey and Leopold Bros, as well as a seasonal cocktail menu curated by award-winning Alamo Drafthouse Beverage Director Bill Norris that will draw inspiration from the beer focus of Glass Half Full.
We are also pleased to introduce the new dream team (pictured below): General Manager Tim Casey and Chef Seth Rexroad. Both are excellent additions to the family and are excited to introduce the Alamo Drafthouse experience to Colorado moviegoers.
We are now accepting applications for kitchen staff, bartenders and waiters. Employment applications can be downloaded here. We will announce more grand opening details (remember when we promised some $2 tickets?!) and more hiring information on our Facebook and Twitter.
