Hold onto your butts!
The Alamo is pleased to welcome the Detroit lads behind the trippy-electronic-indie-pop group Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. as they present their favorite movie of all time…JURASSIC PARK! We love bringing musicians we dig to the Alamo to showcase movies that are significant to them and were pleasantly surprised that these fun dudes’ favorite flick just so happens to feature Jeff Goldblum AND velociraptors.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. has been labeled one of the best new bands of 2010 by Stereogum and SPIN. Their debut album, It’s a Corporate World, is out now and making waves critically, helping them accumulate quite the fun lovin’ fan base. Even without the microsynth, guitars, and harmonies, band mates Joshua and Daniel are pure showmen who are sure to give JP the introduction it deserves.
The band is in town to play two nights at Stubb’s and is going to stop by the Alamo Ritz Thursday night at 7:20 to introduce Spielberg’s awe-inspiring dino goodness in 35 mm. Get your tickets to the Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Alamo show HERE. See you there!
