We all know that zombies are not an original selling point for movies. There seem to be two or three coming out every year and most seemed uninspired and routine. That's why it was refreshing to find out that COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES is neither. Instead it's an unpretentious romp full of laughs and energy galore!

Co-written by James Moran (the mind behind the gleefully original SEVERANCE) the film centers on the botched heist of two mindless brothers, Andy and Terry. After they fail and have to take hostages to delay their eventual arrests a bigger problem is spreading through East London: a virus is turning people into, you guessed it, Zombies!

In another part of London their grandfather, Ray, and his retirement home chums ward off the ensuing zombie attack with crutches and walkers.

It's just as silly as it sounds a whole lot of fun! So if you're looking to have a good time this week you'd be hard pressed to find a better way to spend 90 minutes than seeing COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES!

"Fun, gore-drenched, and even touching at times." -Marc Savlov, Austin Chronicle

"Skilfully blends gruesome horror and deliriously silly humour...is as subtle as a brick in the gob, but it’s also a laugh riot." -Nigel Floyd, Time Out
