Celebrate the TWILIGHT saga with a month of vampire events in November

It’s almost here. Next month will see the release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 — the first in a two-part film adaptation of the final book in the Twilight Saga. Just as we said goodbye to Harry Potter this past summer, we’re almost at the point where fans will have to hang up their Team Jacob and Team Edward shirts. That said, just because the series is ending doesn’t mean we can’t go out with a bang.

We’re filling November up with a full assortment of TWILIGHT related fun. While we have a few tricks up our sleeves that we’re not ready to announce just yet, here’s a sampling of some of the brooding, mussed hair-related fun on its way to Mason Park and West Oaks this November:

THE TWILIGHT SAGA

Beginning November 1, we’ll screen the first three films in the TWILIGHT saga on a weekly basis — leading up to the release of BREAKING DAWN PART 1. Relive the magic and see how it all began as Kristen Stewart plays Bella, a young woman who finds love and happiness in the arms of the mysterious vampire teen Edward (Robert Pattinson). Along the way you’ll see werewolf on vampire action, teenager hormones unchecked and all the glittering vampire goodness you’ve come to expect in the TWILIGHT films. As a bonus, the screenings fall on Ladies Night at Mason Park and tickets are only $6!

Twilight — Tuesday, November 1 @ 7:30 PM — West Oaks and Mason Park

New Moon — Tuesday, November 8 @ 7:30 PM — West Oaks and Mason Park

Eclipse — Tuesday, November 15 @ 7:30 PM — West Oaks and Mason Park

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 Midnight Release

Want to be one of the first to see how the new film unfolds under the direction of Academy Award winning filmmaker Bill Condon? We’ll be screening the new film at midnight at both locations. Buy your tickets early, though, because these screenings are sure to sell out in the coming weeks!

Thursday, November 17 @ Midnight — West Oaks and Mason Park

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 Feast

Yes, there will be a multicourse feast planned for the release of the new movie. No, we’re not ready to unveil the menu yet. While we are still tinkering away in the kitchen — coming up with the perfect compliment to the film both in food and drink pairings — we’re still super psyched about what we have cooking, so to speak. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to see when we put tickets on sale because this is going to be a sold-out event you won’t want to miss.

Tuesday, November 22 @ 7 PM — Mason Park

GRAVEYARD SHIFT: FROM DUSK TILL DAWN

So, yes, I’m sure there are a few out there who don’t like TWILIGHT and are groaning at the idea of a month dedicated to Team Edward. We hear you and at the Alamo Drafthouse we fully believe in offering up a wealth of different choices to those with different tastes. That’s why on November 19, we’ll be screening FROM DUSK TILL DAWN for those who want a vampire movie where daylight doesn’t cause a bloodsucker to sparkle — it causes them to blow up into tiny little pieces.

Saturday, November 19 @ 10 PM — West Oaks

So grab your fake fangs, apply some sunblock and head down to the Drafthouse for a glass of Sangria. If you’re excited about TWILIGHT, we’ve got you covered this November when it comes to food, film and fun.
