Celebrate 11/11/11 with a THIS IS SPINAL TAP Quote/Sing-Along

In honor of Spinal Tap lead guitarist Nigel Tufnel’s amps (you know, the ones that go up to eleven), we’re celebrating the most elevenist day in human history — 11/11/11. And the only way one can really, truly celebrate a day like 11/11/11 is with a THIS IS SPINAL TAP Quote/Sing-Along.

Now, some of you may be under the false impression that THIS IS SPINAL TAP is a work of fiction — what some have so foolishly referred to as a “mockumentary.” This, I assure you, is patently false. Spinal Tap stalwarts David St. Hubbins, Derek Smalls and Nigel Tufnel are very real. THIS IS SPINAL TAP is not directed by anybody named Rob Reiner and does not star Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer. No, this very real documentary (in no way is it an entirely improvised work of comedic satire genius) and it chronicles the 1982 US tour of British rock superstars Spinal Tap.

Programmed by those masters of interactive cinema The Action Pack, this special screening of THIS IS SPINAL TAP is a night of ultimate rock and roll badassery and will feature nothing but the finest in heavy metal entertainment. We’re going to subtitle the best lines and all the lyrics to the songs but it’s not because you’re going to have any trouble hearing the film’s soundtrack — this movie will be played loud enough to melt the ‘80s rock god mustache off your face.

As if the film wasn’t enough, we’re going to have props, an ultimate air guitar competition and maybe even a miniature Stone Henge. This is an event you don’t want to miss because tonight we will rock you tonight, all night!

Friday, November 11 @ 7:30 PM — West Oaks
