Bloodshots: 48-Hour Zombie Filmmaking Challenge is Now Underway!
And… they’re off! This weekend while you are watching Jackass 3D (which you totally should do!) about 60 teams from all over the country are rising to the Bloodshots 48-Hr Zombie Filmmaking Challenge. By now, each team of filmmakers has been assigned a horror subgenre, a weapon and a line of dialogue that must be included in their short. What they do with those elements is totally up to them, as long as there is at least one member of the undead in their 6 min or less film.
So, while you are sipping on an Octoberfest and watching Steve-O bungee jump inside of a fully-loaded Port-O-Potty, take a moment to remember that there are people just like you out there-zombie-loving Alamo enthusiasts- who are hopped up on coffee with their bloodshot eyes on the cash prize.
The fun began Friday at 7pm CST and the deadline to turn in the films is Sunday at 7pm CST. If you want to get a late start and try your hand at the challenge- fill out the form HERE. and email John.Gross@Drafthouse.com to get assigned your team’s genre, line and weapon.
Have a good weekend everyone and be on the lookout for a film crew with a random household object battling a zombie on the side of the road!
