Ok, so maybe you missed our screening of BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR last month. No big deal, right? No, it's been eating at you every day. You saw the New York Times article a few weeks after our showing of the film in which Dave Itzkoff compares the film to PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and calls director James Nguyen "a latter-day anti-genius to rival Edward D. Wood Jr."
You saw that Entertainment Weekly called the film their "new, crazy movie obsession." You read New York Magazine call it, "The next hilariously great cult horror movie!" You also saw Vice write, "If this is a joke, it’s the Kennedy assassination of jokes." I bet that made you wonder...
Maybe you also watched the ABC News Conversation segment where Sharyn Alfonsi spoke with the director about the hit cult film. And maybe, just maybe, you were feeling British and you read the Guardian article that described the film as having "all the makings of a true cult hit."
So, you've been kicking yourself for weeks thinking about how you missed the movie that EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT. You can't find a copy of the film anywhere, and you don't want to drive all the way out to New York City to see the film. What are you going to do?
Well, we're bringing BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR back to the Ritz for another late night showing. The Movie Of The Year is playing this Sunday, and you'll get another chance to see those birds flying around.
Conversely, maybe you did see the film in March when we screened. If so, good for you. You are definitely going to wrangle up your friends to finally show them the film you haven't stopped talking about. Don't keep it to yourself. Share BIRDEMIC with all those who you love.
And you should most definitely visit birdemic.com, where you can find out little tidbits of information like the fact that the film is, "Partly inspired by Hitchcock's THE BIRDS & there is a cameo by Ms. Tippi Hedren (Melanie in THE BIRDS)."
Get your tickets for Sunday's show right now! Sunday, 9pm @Ritz.
