Tuesday, April 10, 7 pm – Raising Arizona (PG-13) – Also celebrating the Rockin’ Rally in the Valley, we present one of our favorite Coen Brothers films, Raising Arizona. When a childless couple of an ex-con (Nicholas Cage) and an ex-cop (Holly Hunter) decide to help themselves to one of another family's quintupelets, their lives get more complicated than they anticipated (including becoming the target of a motorcycle-riding bounty hunter played by Randall “Tex” Cobb). $4 tickets.

Thursday, April 12, 7:30 pm – ‘80s Prom and Movie Anthem Sing-Along. Dust off your tacky dresses and powder blue suits, because it's time to go to '80s Prom! Tickets to the Movie Anthem Sing-Along in Winchester include a free digital prom picture and '80s music from DJ J Riley. As always, we will have live microphones and free props so you can be part of the action. The sing-along features the best ‘80s movie soundtrack songs from St. Elmo’s Fire, Purple Rain, Flashdance, Ghostbusters and more! We will have high school drink specials and we will crown a prom king and queen! Our prom king and queen will win stylish sashes and a crown and tiara, a one-night-stay after prom at the Country Inn & Suites, free tickets to the sing-along, and a $25 Alamo gift card. Sunday, April 15 & Monday, April 16 – Dolphin Tale – In celebration of Disability Awareness Week, we are bringing back the popular film Dolphin Tale in 2D for two screenings. Tickets are only $4, and the screening on Monday, April 16 will be presented with closed captions.
Tuesday, April 17 – Alamo Book Club: Revolutionary Road Presented by Winchester Book Gallery. Our monthly book club event features the film Revolutionary Road, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Kathy Bates and Michael Shannon. A young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s struggle to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children. Wednesday, April 18 – Old School Beer Tasting. Watch the comedy classic Old School as hosts from Murphy Beverage Co. introduce our new seasonal beers! $4 tickets, with a $16 food and beer pairing optional at the event. Menu to be announced soon.
Thursday, April 19 – Ultimate Willy Wonka Party! Come quote, sing, and eat-along with Gene Wilder’s 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We will have candy so you can eat like the kids in the movie, props, a giant gummy bear-eating competition, and lyrics and words on-screen for maximum audience participation. Sunday, April 22 & Monday April 23 – Big Screen Classics: Cool Hand Luke. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Tuesday, April 24 – Pursuit of Happyness Fundraiser - Last summer, Lord Fairfax Community College lost math professor Evan Humbert. His legacy is being honored with an endowed scholarship to benefit deserving college students attending LFCC. At 5:30 pm, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Winchester will host a silent auction to benefit the scholarship fund, followed by a 7 pm screening of the film The Pursuit of Happyness. Tickets are available with $7 student pricing, $9.50 general admission pricing, and $40 VIP pricing including an appetizer plate, beverage, and priority seating. Tickets on sale soon.
Wednesday, April 25 – Horror Remix: School. Join video puppet hosts Cheesecake and Thunderclap as they remix and poke fun at lost horror films from the ‘80s. Saturday, April 28 – Pirate Party! Join us in the lobby as we celebrate the release of The Pirates: Band of Misfits, the new animated adventure from the creators of Chicken Run, Arthur Christmas, and Wallace & Gromit.
