Hey Alamo folks -
By now, you guys are pretty used to us doing these free promo screenings. We put a link up on the internet, it's a mad dash to get RSVPs, and then you see a movie for free! Well, we're spicing it up a little this time. We've teamed up with Open Road Films to put together a Rolling Roadshow screening on Tuesday, March 6th for the horror fans in our midst - a select few folks will get to check out SILENT HOUSE before it hits theaters on March 9th! Not only will you get to see it for free, and in advance, but we've put together a super secret, super creepy location just for this screening AND you won't know where it is until the day before. Since this is a much smaller event than usual, we'll be selecting 30 folks from Facebook and 30 folks from Twitter to join us (or 15 each w/ a +1). To win these tickets on Facebook, leave a comment talking about your scariest "scary movie" experience on this FB post. To win tickets on Twitter, tweet "I challenge @Drafthouse & @OpenRoadFilms to scare me with SILENT HOUSE! http://bit.ly/zq5F1O" We will select the winners by 6pm today (Friday), and the winners will receive information about the screening (location, time, etc) via email by March 5th.
Please keep in mind that this is a horror screening, and will definitely not be suitable for children or anyone under the age of 18.
SILENT HOUSE is a uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family's secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, SILENT HOUSE uses meticulous camera choreography to take the audience on a tension-filled, real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot.
