A notice on the agenda of the San Francisco Historic Preservation Committee Meeting about the Alamo restoring the New Mission Theater kicked off a wave of speculation and Twitter conversation.  I wanted to fill everyone in on where we are on this exciting project.

Preview two upcoming releases from Drafthouse Films this week for the total cost of free!

On February 24, we're bringing two new releases from Drafthouse Films to Houston: BULLHEAD, an Aacedemy Award-nominee for Best Foreign Film, and COMIN' AT YA! 3D, a thirtieth anniversary digital resoration of the classic western that helped usher in the 3D craze of the '80s. Before the films open, though, you'll get a chance to preview them for free this week.

Something wicked this way comes to West Oaks with a THE GATE double feature of demonic proportions

THE GATE, one of the most notoriously traumatizing children's movies of the '80s, turns 25 this year. The Alamo Drafthouse — West Oaks will be screening the film and its sequel this month and, in preparation, Robert Saucedo chatted with the films' director about making kid-appropriate horror, giant 3D spiders and SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH.
