We're teaming up with Cactus Music and Houston's first and last punk band The Hates for an event you do not want to miss out on.

Filmmaker/raconteur Kevin Smith is returning to the Alamo Drafthouse in Houston this weekend and he's bringing along comedian Ralph Garman for a special live taping of their podcast Hollywood Babble-On. In addition, the director will be offering up a special advanced screening of his new film RED STATE, a thrilling take on extreme fundamentalism gone south. Tickets are on sale for both events but they are going fast.  

To celebrate one of the best action movies of the '90s, we're screening STARSHIP TROOPERS twice in August — both times with live, in-theater explosions. Feel the flames on your face as you help blast alien-scum with complimentary cap guns. Come on you apes. You want to live forever?

The Alamo Drafthouse's Cinema's Rolling Roadshow is teaming up with the Bellaire Buzz and Bellaire Parks and Recreation for a special screening of JAWS at the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center. Watch Steven Spielberg's classic movie as you take a swim. Just watch out for any fins on the water or nibbles on your toes.
