Splatterfest, Houston's premiere horror film festival, is returning to the Alamo Drafthouse this month with a week of premieres, independent horror and a few very special guests — including Bruce Campbell and Michael Biehn. 

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is teaming up with the Texas Independent Film Network for a monthly series of screenings featuring independent Texas film. We kick things off in September with a screening of THE HAPPY POET, a dryly comedic film about food vendors. 

Our popular TV at the Alamo screenings of GLEE will return to Mason Park on September 20. Don't miss our happy hour specials including $5 pizzas and free popcorn. It's enough to make you want to break into song. 

The Chinese blockbuster 3D SEX AND ZEN: EXTREME ECSTASY is coming to the Alamo Drafthouse — Mason Park. Don't miss this darkly comic take on sexual exploration and liberation during its run in Katy. Until you've seen gratuitous nudity in 3D, you've not seen the format used the fullest of its abilities. 

Bring the whole family to a free screening of THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema — Mason Park this Saturday. We're presenting a very special 35mm screening of this classic film along with some games, giveaways and surprises of all shapes and sizes. 

This September, we're kicking up the Graveyard Shift horror series a notch with two fun events — including the Houston premiere of UNDOCUMENTED, the new horror film from IFC Midnight and veteran of Fantastic Fest '10, and a free screening of CAST A DEADLY SPELL, the best movie about H.P. Lovecraft that you've never seen.
